Sport’s day - 5th class
3rd Class visited Birr Castle this week. We went for a lovely walk around the grounds in the sunshine and also took a trip to the fantastic new Tree house and playground. Many thanks to @birrcastledemesne for welcoming us.
Senior Infants busy active schools week! 🏃☀️
We enjoyed chalk on the yard, a teddy bears’ picnic, a village walk, P.E. and finished the week with a well-deserved ice lolly treat! 🍦
Thank you to Mairead Daly from @offalysports partnership for presenting medals to 8 boys in our school. Over 4,000 children in Offaly completed the one minute fitness test.They achieved top 5 fastest children in their classes in Offaly. Special mention to Finn who is the fastest 3rd class boy in Offaly. Well done Tom, Liam, Finn, Bobby, James, Cormac, Adam & Patrick #offalysportspartnership
After our swimming lesson this morning 6th class walked to the castle and had fun in the playground and the beautiful grounds. Thanks to @birrcastledemesne for a lovely morning..
Well done to Owen from 3rd Class who recently won a trophy at The Battle of Birr kick boxing competition.
Well done to all our boys and girls who took part in the @wilmertennisclubbirr Tennis Tournament. Special mention to 3rd & 4th Class Boys who came first in their category & both 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th class girls were runners up in their categories
